Hi everyone.
I think all of you are very lucky. I am not Brazilian and in fact, I am from Asia, another part of the world altogether. I am still single but I do have a story to tell.
I met someone in college a few weeks back. It's someone whom I didn't take a second look at first, but now, she is always on my mind. She is quite simply, the average girl next door. We can talk and make each other laugh so much.
So finally, I asked her out for a date yesterday. We were scheduled to attend a performance- but it was cancelled at the last minute. So we ended up working on a school project (we had our stuff with us). And it turned out more fun than the performance- I don't think we would have laughed so much if we were watching the performance instead. I don't know exactly how she feels for me at this point, but we are going out again next week. It might turn out to be my final chance (yeah, it's a long story).
And I will be looking out to try my best.

So, Leila, you are the one in charge, huh? I'm glad you've been practicing. Otherwise, your husband would be in trouble!

Wow, Flávio! Long distance dating!I'm glad it endured and you got married. I also had two weddings with the same man! First I just had the civil ceremony. Years later, we decided to have our religious wedding and baptize my youngest son. I had this dream of getting married at "Mosteiro São Bento" in Brasília, but my husband doubted I could do it. Well, it was a long process because we were not getting married in our own parish and we also had to ask for the Bishop's authorization. At last, I had my dream wedding at Mosteiro. One of the most touching moments of my life!

Dear Leila,

I loved to learn about your family love stories. It seems that the classroom is really magic, huh? So, is your husband also studying English now?

Thanks for sharing your romance.

When I listen the Isabela's love story, I remenbered the my parents'story, just one difference, he was the teacher and she was the student. This was about sixty five years ago. My grandparents no accepted the situation, because he was eitheen years old of her. It was terrible, but I'm here.
My love story, it was in classroom too, but my husband and me were English students. It's important to tell you, that we dind't learn any English, but one year half we got marriage and we are together about forty two years ago, and we are so happy.

Wow, I think my story is wonderful.
Once I was in Belo Horizonte for a few days (I was going to Rio), and a friend of mine, who's teacher, invited me to play some songs to his classes. I went, I sung, and I notice nobody - there were 3 classes, in which were 150 students!
But after the class, some of the students invited me to a pizza. And Cristina was one of them. We became friends.
Well, I went to Rio, again to Brasília, and we took in contact.
After a couple of months, I went again to BH, but I decided don't tell her, to make a surprise. But in the same night she dreamt about me, and she became sure I was arriving! When I called to say I was there, planning invite her to a lunch, she said: I knew it, lets go lunch?
So, we started dating, but I continued travelling, and going to BH every second week. In spite of this, we got married after about one year and a half, and we're now celebrating 20 years!
And we had two wedding-parties too: the civil ceremony in BH, in a friday, and the religious in Brasília, in a saturday.

Hi everyone, I had so much fun reading all your stories. Great topic, isn´t it?

I have always felt there is something magical in the way people meet, fall in love and decide to be together for a life time. I often wonder about the variables that can make some run into each other, if you missed going to a party, or perhaps you decided to travel at the last minute, or your car broke down and you got help from your future soul mate, or you took your mom to the doctor and met a guy who was also at the doctor´s office too (that happened, by the way, to a friend of mine, ha, ha).

Life and love surely work in mysterious ways, don´t they?

Thanks for sharing. All the best from Caracas, Venezuela, Berta
